Joseph Olshan is the award-winning author of ten novels including NightswimmerThe Waterline, Cloudland, and Black Diamond Fall.  His first novel, Clara’s Heart, won the London Times/Jonathan Cape Young Writers’ Competition and went on to be made into a film starring Whoopie Goldberg and Neil Patrick Harris. In addition to his novels, he has written extensively for newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, The Times (London), The Guardian, The Independent (London), The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, Harper’s Bazaar, People Magazine, and Entertainment Weekly. His work has been translated into sixteen languages.  For the last twelve years he has worked as the editorial director of Delphinium Books (Publishers Group West).
